Preserving your own foods can be a lot quicker and easier than you might think. It’s a great way to have delicious, local food all year long. Especially helpful for home gardeners with a bounty to put up, or after a visit to a pick-your-own site. Learn how to safely preserve the foods you like to eat at home.
In this session, you will learn how to prep ripe fruit and cook it into jam, and jar it for storage. We will review the different types of canners that are available and methods for safely canning your food.
No experience necessary! Just yourself and a desire to learn this new skill. All supplies will be provided to make your own small batch of jam!
